Montra em Habitação
by Coletivo P22
fri 19 September — 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.Free entrance / General Public
Taking inspiration from the Roman Forum as a place of gathering and debate, Montra em Habitação explores the intersection between the housing crisis and the uncertain future of first-generation shopping centres. Like the forums of ancient cities, shopping centres were conceived as spaces for social interaction and coexistence. However, their role in the urban fabric is increasingly being questioned.

At the heart of this project is a radical transformation: the Shopyard headquarters will be converted into the “home” of the P22 art collective. This disruptive gesture challenges traditional notions of inhabiting, blurring the boundaries between public and private and exposing the strangeness within the familiar. Here, everyday life is transfigured, becoming unexpected and at times unsettling.
With an experimental and poetic approach, Montra em Habitação invites reflection on our relationship with the spaces we occupy, encouraging us to reimagine these places in light of contemporary social and cultural transformations.
The event starts at 6:30 p.m. at Shopyard’s headquarters.
The P22 collective is formed by Attilio Fiumarella and Marisol Cordeiro.
