Weaving workshop
with Mónica Faria

19, 21, 26 and 28 February 2015
 18:00 - 21:00
Free / Registration needed

Inspired by the seamstresses, tailors, and haberdasheries commonly found in Braga’s first-generation shopping centres, textile artist Mónica Faria invited participants in this weaving workshop to explore the ancestral languages of textiles and their communicative power.

Through the act of weaving, participants were encouraged to create new points of contact and forms of dialogue with shopkeepers, transforming the practice into a space for gathering, sharing, listening, and debating the present and future of these shopping centres.

The workshop was structured over four sessions.
